Manchester United have reached a full agreement with club legend Michael Carrick to take over as caretaker manager until the end of the season, pending an official announcement from the club.
According to sources close to the negotiations, a verbal agreement was reached as early as yesterday, with all remaining details now fully resolved. The deal also includes arrangements for Carrick’s backroom staff, ensuring continuity and stability within the coaching setup.
Carrick, a former United midfielder and Premier League winner with the club, is no stranger to the role, having previously served on the coaching staff following his retirement from playing. His appointment is seen as a short-term solution aimed at steadying the team and maintaining competitiveness while the club considers its long-term managerial plans.

An official statement from Manchester United is expected shortly.
