NIA Establishes Help Desk to Support Prospective National Service Personnel with Ghana Card Verification

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the establishment of a dedicated Help Desk at the National Service Secretariat (NSS) Head Office, located at Airport, Accra, to assist prospective National Service Personnel (NSP) encountering challenges with Ghana Card verification on the registration portal. According to the NIA, the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and efficient registration process for all eligible service personnel. The Help Desk will provide targeted assistance to applicants facing difficulties linking or verifying their Ghana Card details on the NSS platform. YEA Refutes Claims of 10-Month Salary Arrears, Clarifies Staff Payment Status

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has dismissed media reports suggesting that about 300 of its staff nationwide have gone unpaid for ten months, describing the allegations as “factually inaccurate” and misleading. In a statement signed by Suadique Musah, Director of Corporate Affairs, the Agency clarified that its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Malik Basintale, only assumed office in February 2025, making it impossible for him to have owed any staff salaries for ten months. The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced that it will from Monday, October 6, 2025, begin issuing and distributing Ghana Cards to Ghanaian children aged between six (6) and fourteen (14) who have already completed their registration.
