Nneka Youth Foundation shows love to communities ahead of Yuletide season  

The Nneka Youth Foundation, a non-profit organisation, has made donations to women and children of five communities in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region.   Logba, Agbome, Gbordome, Wudome and Kplezo communities benefitted from the gesture, which aims at "uplifting and empowering" beneficiaries in their local communities.   Mrs Cecilia Fiaka, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Foundation, said the donation which was annually carried out was to reach out to the less privileged.   She said as part of the gesture, the Foundation also inspired, encouraged and advised beneficiaries, which was tailored to promoting confidence, resilience and self-worth.   She expressed gratitude to philanthropists, who supported the Foundation towards the ...

Passion for Needy supports elderly citizens in Tema Newton    

Passion for Needy, an NGO, has presented assorted items to the elderly and single parents at Tema Newton in the Greater Accra Region.    Each of the beneficiaries includes rice, oil, canned fish, vegetable oil, tomato puree, biscuits, soft drinks, bottled water, and new pieces of cloth and scarves.    Mrs Janet Torgbor El-Aschkar, the Chairperson of the organisation, said the gesture was due to three economic challenges they faced and was hopeful that the "widow's mite" would make a difference in their lives.    The donation, she said, was from the instruction of the late Senior Prophet T.B. The Police have arrested eight suspects in connection with an attack on the Metro Mass Transit workshop in Sunyani, Bono Region.
