Former Vice President and presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has brought his four-month nationwide campaign tour to a close with what he described as an “electrifying reception” from party delegates in the Ashanti Region.
The final leg of the tour saw Dr Bawumia engage delegates from the Sekyere Afram Plains, Kumawu, Efiduase and Manhyia North constituencies, marking an exciting climax to his outreach across the country.
Addressing party members at the end of the tour, Dr Bawumia said the engagements went beyond campaigning, as they provided him with valuable insight into the concerns and aspirations of party faithful across the constituencies visited.
“Engaging with members of our party in the constituencies did not only afford me the opportunity to discuss my progressive ideas, it also provided me deeper insight into the concerns of hardworking patriots,” he noted, adding that these concerns have informed the proposals he has shared throughout the tour.
Dr Bawumia expressed profound appreciation to party stakeholders nationwide for the support, encouragement and endorsements he received during his visits, describing the confidence reposed in him as deeply humbling.
“My utmost gratitude goes to all of our party stakeholders nationwide for the warm reception, support, encouragement and endorsements you offered me. I do not take them for granted,” he said.
With just three days to the party’s crucial contest, the Vice President urged supporters to remain focused and committed as the party heads toward what he believes will be a decisive victory.
“We are not yet done, fellow patriots. I urge you all to remain focused and keep working hard until our victory is pronounced on Saturday, by the grace of God,” he stated.
Dr Bawumia concluded with a rallying call to party members to unite behind a shared vision, saying the goal is not only immediate victory but also rebuilding the party for future success.
“Let’s win together with Bawumia to rebuild our party for victory in 2028.”
The conclusion of the Ashanti Region tour effectively brings an end to Dr Bawumia’s nationwide campaign engagements ahead of the upcoming party decision.
