Abronye Ready to Face NPP Disciplinary Committee, Demands Live Broadcast of Proceedings

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, has expressed his readiness to appear before the Party’s National Disciplinary Committee following an invitation issued by the General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua.

In a statement released on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Abronye confirmed his preparedness to honor the summons, stressing his determination to “comprehensively lay bare and substantiate” what he described as the “antichrist actions and inactions” of Assin Central MP, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, which, according to him, have undermined the cohesion and integrity of the NPP.

He further called for transparency in the disciplinary process, proposing that the Committee’s sittings be conducted openly and broadcast live to allow party members across the country to witness the proceedings.

“Since the referral was made public, I therefore propose that the sittings of the Committee be conducted openly and broadcast live, so that the rank and file of our noble Party may have the opportunity to witness, at first hand, the manifest antichrist posture and conduct of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong,” Abronye stated.

The development adds another twist to the internal tensions within the ruling Party as it gears up for the 2026 general elections. The National Disciplinary Committee is yet to respond to Abronye’s request for a live broadcast of the proceedings.
