Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has represented President John Dramani Mahama at the 93rd Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, held in Winneba, reaffirming government’s commitment to peace, moral leadership, and inclusive national development.
Addressing the annual convention, which is held in the spirit of renewal, dialogue, and peace, the Vice President commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for its enduring dedication to national unity and social harmony. She described the Community’s motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None,” as a powerful lesson that continues to resonate across faiths, cultures, and communities in Ghana.
The Vice President reflected on the theme of this year’s Jalsa Salana, “Moral Decadence and Our Responsibilities in the Light of Islamic Teachings,” emphasizing the shared responsibility of citizens and leaders to uphold integrity, oppose injustice, and do what is right. Drawing on Quranic lessons, she noted that ethical leadership and moral courage are essential foundations for national strength and sustainable development.

In this context, she reaffirmed the government’s commitment to accountability and transparency, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination among key anti-corruption agencies and enforce a robust Code of Conduct for public officials.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang also highlighted the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s practical contributions to Ghana’s development, particularly in agriculture. She noted steady progress on the Pomadze Poultry Initiative, describing it as a project well aligned with national programmes such as Feed Ghana and Nkoko Nkitinkiti. According to her, the initiative will help boost domestic poultry production, create jobs, stabilize prices, and improve food security.
Beyond agriculture, she acknowledged the Community’s significant investments in education, healthcare, and humanitarian services, with special recognition of the Lajna Imaillah, the women’s wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, for its vital role in community development and social support.

The Vice President further outlined key achievements of the current administration, including economic stabilisation, reforms in education and healthcare, skills development for the youth, and a renewed focus on infrastructure, good governance, and social fairness.
She concluded by thanking the people of Ghana for the confidence reposed in President John Dramani Mahama’s administration and reaffirmed government’s commitment to serving the nation diligently. As the country enters a new year, she called on all Ghanaians to remain steadfast in faith, unity, and service to the nation.
