Police Arrest Five Over Robbery and Rape Attacks at Juaso
The Ghana Police Service has arrested five members of a gang suspected to be behind a series of robbery and rape attacks targeting young females in Juaso and its surrounding areas in the Ashanti South Region.
According to police, the suspects allegedly specialised in luring young women—mostly students—into a private vehicle under the guise of offering them a lift, only to rob and sexually assault them.
Initial operations led to the arrest of twelve individuals. However, following preliminary investigations, seven were found not to be directly linked to the crimes and were subsequently granted bail.
