Police Probes Alleged Assault on Alhaji Masawudu at Akwatia

The Akwatia District Police Command has launched investigations into an alleged assault on Alhaji Masawudu Osman, which reportedly occurred at Akwatia on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. According to the police, the complainant was issued with a medical form and directed to seek treatment at a hospital. The endorsed medical form is expected to be returned to the police to aid ongoing investigations. The case has since been referred to the Eastern South Regional Police Command for further probe. In a statement signed by DSP David Fianko Okyere of the Public Affairs Unit, the police assured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice and called for calm as investigations continue.
