Ayawaso East MP Mahama Naser Toure Passes Away After Illness

The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mahama Naser Toure, has died after a period of illness at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

A four-term legislator, Mr. Toure served in several important capacities in Parliament. He was Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee and also a member of the Roads and Transport Committee, the House Committee, as well as the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.

The Second Deputy Majority Whip, Richard Acheampong, confirmed that the late MP will be buried today at his residence in Nima, Accra, in accordance with Islamic rites.
