Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang Marks One Year in Office with Thanksgiving Service

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive national development following a non-denominational thanksgiving service held at Jubilee House to mark one year in office.

The service, held on Tuesday, brought together government officials, religious leaders, and invited guests for a moment of reflection and gratitude after a year of governance. According to the Vice President, the occasion provided an opportunity to look back on a year characterized by hard work, dedication, and notable progress across various sectors of the economy.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang described the thanksgiving service as a moment not only to appreciate how far the government has come, but also to renew its resolve to deepen service to the people of Ghana.

She emphasized that the government remains firmly committed to inclusive national development, stressing that its policies and interventions are designed to benefit all Ghanaians rather than a privileged few. “Our focus is on ensuring that development reaches every segment of society and that no one is left behind,” she noted.

The Vice President also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ghanaians for their continued support, trust, and commitment throughout the past year. She acknowledged the collective role of citizens in sustaining democratic governance and national progress.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang concluded by calling for unity and shared responsibility as the nation moves forward, urging citizens to continue working together toward building a stronger, fairer, and more hopeful future for Ghana.

The thanksgiving service formed part of activities marking one year of the current administration, highlighting reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to national service.
