Lincoln University cancels Mahama’s honorary doctorate conferment over his anti-LGBTQ stance
The Ghana Embassy in the United States has expressed strong disappointment over a late communication from Lincoln University concerning the scheduled visit of Ghana’s former President, John Dramani Mahama.
The visit, slated for Thursday, March 26, was to feature the conferment of an honorary doctorate degree honoris causa on Mahama, following what the Embassy described as extensive prior engagements and planning between both parties.
