Bayern striker Kane doubtful for match against Frankfurt
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is doubtful for their Bundesliga home match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday due to calf issues.
Kane was subbed off at half-time of Bayern's Champions League last 16 play-off against Celtic on Wednesday evening. After the game, he said: "I need to get checked and see what's exactly going on."
Ahead of the match, he took a break before the final training session. "I wanted to take every chance to be on the pitch," Kane said of his first-half performance.
But he and coach Vincent Kompany realized that it would be better "to make room for another player."
Kompany said that it was "a shame that Harry was out" and that he couldn't yet said for how long he will be sidelined.
