The Accra Central Division Police Command has arrested a wanted suspect during security operations at the Diaspora Summit 2025 held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). According to the Police, the arrest followed heightened surveillance mounted on Friday, 19 December 2025, after complaints from participants at previous events at the AICC about the theft of personal items, including mobile phones, iPads, and credit cards. An undercover operation was therefore deployed to ensure the safety of participants at the ongoing summit.
