PAC queries registrar of companies over registration of Atta-Mills Institute
Mr Samuel Atta-Mills, the Ranking Member of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, on Friday criticized the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) for allegedly registering the Mills Institute, formerly known as the Atta-Mills Institute, without proper authorization.
The controversy arose during a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) sitting in Parliament House, Accra, where members of the Committee questioned the registration process.
Mr Kwame Gakpey, a National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament for Keta, inquired, "If I'm not related to him, can I just come to your office and register a company in his name?"
