POLICE RECORD MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH IN ROBBERY INVESTIGATIONS: 10 SUSPECTS ARRESTED, 3 DEAD

The Ghana Police Service has recorded a significant breakthrough in its fight against armed robbery with the dismantling of a criminal syndicate believed to be behind a series of violent attacks on financial institutions, particularly rural banks, across several regions of the country.

According to police officials, the gang had operated across the Ashanti, Eastern, Central, Western, and Ahafo Regions, terrorizing communities and targeting financial institutions. Their activities not only endangered lives but also posed a major threat to rural banking operations and financial security.

In a recent operation, law enforcement officers arrested 10 suspects linked to the group, while 3 others were reported dead following an exchange with the police. The arrests, police say, will aid ongoing investigations and help unravel the full extent of the syndicate’s activities.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the public of its commitment to maintaining law and order while intensifying operations to clamp down on armed robbery and other criminal networks across the country.

Authorities have also called on the public to continue cooperating with the police by providing timely information that will assist in crime prevention and swift responses to criminal activity.
