The Western North Regional Police Command has arrested two school staff in connection with the alleged conspiracy and theft of food items meant for students of the Sefwi Bekwai STEM Senior High School at Awaso in the Western North Region.
According to police sources, the suspects were picked up following reports that food supplies allocated for the feeding of students at the school had gone missing under suspicious circumstances. Preliminary investigations point to an alleged collaboration between the two staff members to divert the items for personal use.
The police say the arrest forms part of ongoing efforts to protect public resources, especially those intended for the welfare of students in public institutions. The stolen food items were reportedly supplies meant to support the school’s boarding students.

The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations and are expected to be put before court once investigations are concluded.
The Western North Regional Police Command has assured the public, parents, and students that it remains committed to ensuring accountability and will deal decisively with anyone found to be abusing their position of trust within educational institutions.
