Okaikwei Central NPP Holds Constituency General Meeting, Outlines Key Development Initiatives

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Okaikwei Central Constituency on Sunday, January 25, 2026, held a Constituency General Meeting aimed at engaging party faithful and outlining key development-focused interventions for the area.

The meeting took place at the St. Charles Lwanga Roman Catholic Church and brought together Constituency Executives, Coordinators, party loyalists, friends, and supporters of the party from across the constituency.

Addressing the gathering, the constituency leadership described the engagement as a fulfilling interaction with constituents, providing an opportunity to share progress and future plans designed to improve livelihoods and promote social development within Okaikwei Central.

Among the major initiatives highlighted was #Project250, a youth-focused programme aimed at training and empowering 250 young people in various skilled vocations to enhance employability and self-reliance.

Other key projects outlined include the completion of 12-unit classroom blocks at the New Fadama Cluster and Apenkwa Shiayennor, a move expected to significantly improve teaching and learning conditions in the constituency. Plans were also announced for the replacement and repair of streetlights at strategic locations to improve visibility and enhance community safety.

In addition, the constituency leadership reaffirmed its commitment to education by sponsoring vacation classes for Senior High School students and providing financial support for tertiary students to help ease the burden of academic expenses.

According to the organisers, these initiatives are deliberately designed to improve the standard of living and enhance the overall wellbeing of residents in the Okaikwei Central Constituency.

The meeting ended with a renewed call for unity, dedication, and continued service to the people, as the party works to translate policy promises into tangible action on the ground.
