The Government of Ghana has expressed deep concern over the escalating military conflict between Israel and Iran, following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian territory on June 13, 2025.
In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ghana condemned the intensifying hostilities and urged both nations to exercise maximum restraint in order to prevent further deterioration of regional stability.
“Ghana calls upon the parties to prioritize dialogue, refrain from further provocation, and embrace diplomatic channels to de-escalate the situation,” the statement read.

Emphasizing its commitment to international peace and security, Ghana urged both Israel and Iran to reaffirm their obligations under the United Nations Charter and respect the principles of international law, particularly the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of states.
The Government also expressed readiness to support collective international efforts aimed at resolving the conflict peacefully. “Ghana stands ready to support a unified response by the international community to prevent the conflict from spreading, reduce regional instability in the Middle East, and mitigate the growing threat to global peace,” the statement added.
Ghana’s call comes at a time when the country is already undertaking the evacuation of its citizens from Iran due to safety concerns. The government has reiterated its commitment to protecting Ghanaian lives while advocating for a peaceful resolution to the escalating crisis
