The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed all affected staff to undergo a validation process to confirm their recruitment status and facilitate their reinstatement onto the GES payroll. This move, outlined in a letter dated March 5, 2025, follows an earlier directive issued on February 17, 2025, with reference number GES/HMRD/SEC/REV.25/01.
According to the letter signed by the Acting Director-General of GES, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, the validation exercise is aimed at ensuring a clean and accurate payroll system. A three-member committee, consisting of the Regional Human Resource Officer, Regional Internal Auditor, and Regional Accountant, has been tasked with overseeing the process.
Affected staff are required to submit the following documents for verification:
• Appointment Letter
• Academic Certificate
• Licensure Certificate
• National Service Certificate
The deadline for completing the validation process has been set for March 14, 2025.
The GES management has urged all concerned personnel to cooperate fully with the exercise, emphasizing its importance in maintaining transparency and accountability within the education sector.
Copies of the letter have also been sent to key education stakeholders, including the Minister and Deputy Minister of Education, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, and various top officials within GES.
