The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that all schools across the country will be closed on Friday, March 7, 2025, granting schoolchildren a well-deserved holiday following the Independence Day celebrations.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, GES explained that the decision was made to allow students to rest after their rigorous preparations for Ghana’s Independence Anniversary activities.
“Schools will resume fully on Monday, March 10, 2025,” the statement read, urging parents and guardians to take note of the announcement.
GES also expressed regret for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
The press release was signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of the Public Relations Unit of GES.
