The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has announced the arrest of 320 individuals in a major anti-human trafficking and fraud operation targeting a suspected “QNET” network in Kumasi.
According to EOCO, the coordinated raids were carried out by its Anti-Human Trafficking Unit at two separate locations within the Ashanti Regional capital. Initial assessments reveal that 25 of the 320 individuals are potential suspects, while 295 are believed to be victims of a human trafficking and employment scam perpetrated under the guise of the QNET business model.
EOCO said the operation was the result of months of meticulous investigations, reflecting the Office’s sustained commitment to detecting, investigating, and prosecuting economic and organised crime across the country.

“This operation marks the largest anti-human trafficking operation in the country,” the statement noted, referencing an earlier EOCO raid in Kasoa two weeks ago which led to the arrest of over 26 individuals.
The agency disclosed that both suspects and victims are currently undergoing screening, with the 25 identified suspects expected to face further investigations and possible prosecution.
EOCO also acknowledged its ongoing collaboration with QNET, the legitimate global direct-selling company, in an effort to clamp down on the misuse of its brand name by fraudsters engaged in human trafficking and recruitment scams.
“We commend the collaborative efforts of QNET in this regard and look forward to continued cooperation to bring perpetrators to justice,” EOCO stated.
The Office assured the public of its unwavering commitment to fighting economic and organised crime, urging citizens to report any suspicious activities to its offices or law enforcement authorities.
