Asantehene Announces Passing of Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has formally announced the death of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, bringing an era of dedicated service to Asanteman to a close. Speaking at an Asanteman Council meeting held at the Manhyia Palace on Monday, August 11, the Asantehene confirmed that the revered queen mother passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 91. The one-week observance for the late Asantehemaa will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in line with Ashanti tradition.
