NPA Warns Against Illegal Storage and Sale of Petroleum Products

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has issued a strong warning to individuals and businesses engaged in the illicit storage and marketing of petroleum products, urging them to comply with regulatory requirements or face sanctions. In a public notice issued on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the NPA reminded the public that under Section 11 of the National Petroleum Authority Act, 2005 (Act 691) as amended, no person is permitted to operate in the petroleum downstream industry without a valid license issued by the Authority’s Board. The Rotary Club of Navrongo has donated a complete set of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equipment worth about GH₵500,000 to the War Memorial Hospital (WMH) in Navrongo to improve emergency healthcare delivery. NCA Suspends Nine Radio Stations Over Regulatory Infractions

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has suspended the operations of nine radio stations across Ghana for various breaches of broadcasting regulations. The action follows the expiration of a 30-day grace period granted by President John Dramani Mahama, which allowed defaulting stations to address violations of the laws and regulations governing FM radio broadcasting in the country.
