Veterinary Service Officer urges poultry farmers to vaccinate their birds

GNFS entreats citizens to support the fight against fire outbreak

A Total of GHC 380,113,600 allowance, feeding grants in arrears – GTEC

Plumber jailed 12 years for sextortion

An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced a 26-year-old plumber and hairstylist to 12 years' imprisonment for sexual extortion. Philip Spain Narh is said to have taken advantage of a 19-year-old SHS graduate by having vaginal and anal sex with her with the promise to help her become a web designer. Unknown to the victim, Narh recorded his sexual encounter with her and published those nude scenes on the internet with the view of blackmailing her. He was charged with seven counts of sexual extortion, non-consensual sharing of intimate images, publication or sale of obscene material and unlawful possession of narcotic drugs. Residents of Fawoade Bampenase in the Kwabre East Municipality of Ashanti, have called on the Ghana Police Service to come to their aid by increasing visibility and strengthening security in the area. According to them, the rampant robbery incidents in the area had become a source of worry and created fear and panic among residents in the community.
