Ghana Mourns the Loss of Music Legend Charles Kojo Fosu, a.k.a. Daddy Lumba

Ghana has been plunged into mourning following the passing of one of its most iconic and influential musicians, Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba. The legendary highlife artist passed away earlier today, Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a short illness. The announcement was officially made by the Fosu family in a statement signed by their legal representative, Fati Ali Yallah, Esq., of Baba Jamal & Associates. “With profound sorrow and deep grief, the Fosu family announces the passing of Ghana’s beloved musical icon, Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba,” the statement read.
