Arathejay Withdraws from Ghana Party in the Park UK 2025

Ghanaian musician Arathejay has officially announced his withdrawal from this year’s highly anticipated Ghana Party in the Park UK, citing concerns over performance conditions. The event, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, is one of the most prestigious platforms for Ghanaian music and culture in the diaspora.

In a press release issued on Monday, ARATHEJAY described the decision as “difficult” but necessary, noting that the conditions required for him to deliver his best performance were not adequately considered.

“After careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to withdraw from my scheduled performance at this year’s Ghana Party in the Park UK,” the statement read. “This decision was not made lightly, but stems from my belief that the conditions necessary for me to deliver my best performance have not been adequately considered.”

Despite stepping away from the lineup, the artist expressed deep respect for the event and its legacy.

“I hold Ghana Party in the Park UK in high regard and recognize the important role it has played in showcasing Ghanaian talent over the past two decades. I sincerely wish the organizers, their partners, and all the artists involved a successful celebration of 20 years of impact and excellence,” he added.

ARATHEJAY’s absence from the festival has sparked mixed reactions among fans, with many expressing both disappointment and support for his decision. The organizers of Ghana Party in the Park UK have yet to respond publicly to the announcement.

The festival, known for attracting thousands of attendees and featuring top-tier Ghanaian artists, remains scheduled to take place later this month in London. With the celebration marking two decades of cultural exchange and entertainment, organizers are expected to proceed with a packed lineup of performers.
