The Vice President highlighted flagship initiatives under President Mahama’s leadership aimed at unlocking the potential of Ghana’s industrialization agenda.
Among them is the 24-Hour Economy Policy, which is designed to encourage industries to operate in round-the-clock shifts, increase productivity, enhance competitiveness, and create more employment opportunities.
She also made reference to the Feed Ghana Programme, which is boosting agricultural production to improve food security and provide raw materials for local manufacturing and processing.

According to her, the government is prioritizing value addition by creating an enabling business environment that expands production capacity, decentralizes industrial operations, and promotes sustainable growth.
Government to Deepen Collaboration with Industry
Acknowledging the current economic challenges facing industries, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang assured business leaders that the government remains committed to easing constraints through strategic partnerships.
“Easing these constraints remains central to our broader industrial strategy. Government stands ready to work hand-in-hand with our industries to build a resilient and competitive industrial base for Ghana,” she noted.
Commendation for Awards Winners and Everyday Businesses
The Vice President congratulated all award winners and nominees for their excellence and contribution to industrial growth while also paying tribute to businesses making progress outside the limelight.
“To every business making quiet but steady progress each day, you are helping to build a nation anchored on industrial strength. Your work matters, and Ghana is counting on you,” she added.
A Call to Action
She urged local industries to fully take advantage of government programmes to expand operations and support the country’s transformation into a self-sustaining industrial hub.
