Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang Pays Courtesy Call on Asantehene at Manhyia Palace

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has paid a courtesy call on His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi as part of her recent visit to the Ashanti Region.

During the visit, the Vice President expressed her heartfelt condolences to the Asantehene and the people of Asanteman on the passing of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III. She described the loss as one deeply felt not only in the Ashanti Kingdom but across the entire nation.

The meeting, marked by mutual respect and cordiality, also provided an opportunity for the Vice President and the Asantehene to reaffirm the strong bonds of solidarity between government and traditional authorities.

Madam Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the importance of preserving and strengthening these ties, highlighting the vital role of chieftaincy in national unity, development, and cultural identity.

Her visit to Manhyia Palace was the final stop of her Kumasi tour, which underscored her continued engagement with key stakeholders in the region.
