Unilever Collaborates with Hearts of Oak: Rexona Pledges Support and Incentives for League Success

The Pobiman Sports Complex played host to a high-powered delegation from Rexona, a leading brand under Unilever, as discussions commenced on a strategic partnership with Ghana’s most decorated football club, Accra Hearts of Oak.

As part of the visit, Rexona presented assorted body deodorant products to the club and made a significant commitment on behalf of Unilever International to finance Hearts of Oak’s participation in any CAF competition, should the club secure qualification.

The Rexona delegation interacted warmly with players, technical staff, and management, reinforcing the brand’s interest in building a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship with the Phobians. The team was officially received by the Executive Supervisory Director, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, and Operations Manager, Madam Phyllis Marku Mensah, both of whom expressed appreciation for the gesture and optimism about the proposed collaboration.

Leading the delegation, Unilever International Business Manager, Mr. Onyx Adjei, praised Hearts of Oak for their hospitality and challenged the playing body to set their sights on winning the Ghana Premier League. He assured the club that Rexona would sponsor their continental campaign should they emerge as league champions this season.

The pledge was welcomed with confidence by Head Coach Didi Dramani and club captain Benjamin Asare, who both reaffirmed the team’s commitment to hard work and success on the pitch.

Also present was the Head of Marketing for Daddy Ash, the authorised agents of Rexona, Mr. Robert Amamoo, who encouraged the players to remain disciplined and consistent, noting that their performances play a vital role in inspiring supporters across the country.

Rexona’s engagement with Hearts of Oak aligns with its growing presence in global football. The brand recently sponsored the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and is among the official sponsors of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This latest initiative further underscores Rexona and Unilever’s commitment to supporting football development and excellence at both club and international levels.
