Ho Municipal Assembly restores streetlights to boost security, economy

Ashanti Region Secures Two-Year Contract for Street Light Maintenance

In a major step toward improving safety and security across the Ashanti Region, the Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has announced a two-year contract with Prefos Company Ltd. to maintain key sections of the street lighting network. This initiative, facilitated through the intervention of the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, has been awarded through the Highway Authority. The maintenance contract will cover two critical routes like Ejisu Abenase to Tech Police Station and Suame to Buoho and other areas. In addition to this agreement, Dr. Amoakohene has directed all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to take responsibility for street lighting in their respective areas to ensure no community is left in darkness.
