Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has once again drawn attention to its rich football heritage, as details of the club’s historic domestic successes resurface alongside a new administrative appointment at the national level.
The Phobians remain one of Ghana’s most decorated football clubs, with an illustrious record in the top flight. Hearts of Oak have been crowned Premier League champions on 20 occasions, spanning generations of dominance — from their early triumphs in 1956 and 1958, through multiple title-winning eras in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, to their most recent league success in the 2021/2022 season.
