Football is not only about winning matches – Amewu
Mr John-Peter Amewu, Founder of Hohoe United Football Club (HUFC), a Hohoe-based football club, says football is not only about winning matches.
He said football was also about building character, creating opportunities and fostering unity.
Mr Amewu in an address during the inauguration of the reconstituted Board of the Club said the Club was formed as a unity club and also to demonstrate the rationale behind the traditional council.
He said Hohoe had become one of the busiest economic centres nationwide with a quadruple population due to development efforts of the traditional authorities.
Mr Amewu said HUFC was not just a club but a group with a common identity to transform lives and to keep on changing lives.
