Vice President Launches Heritage Village to Boost Ghana’s Gold Value Chain
Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has officially launched the Heritage Village initiative by Goldbod Jewellery, a strategic platform aimed at promoting locally crafted gold jewellery while advancing Ghana’s value-added industrialisation agenda.
The initiative, spearheaded by Gertrude Emefa Donkor, reflects a growing national push to transition from the export of raw gold to the production of refined, high-value products. It is also designed to empower local artisans and strengthen Ghana’s creative economy.
Held in line with the celebration of Ghana Month, the three-day event positions gold not merely as a natural resource, but as a symbol of national pride, innovation, and economic transformation.
