The Ghana Air Force has taken delivery of a newly acquired Airbus H175 helicopter from France, marking a significant step in the ongoing modernisation and retooling of its operational fleet. The acquisition forms part of a broader defence procurement programme approved by Parliament to enhance the operational capacity of the Ghana Armed Forces. Ghana Armed Forces Rescue 71 Stranded Fishermen After Sea Robbery Attack

The Ghana Armed Forces has successfully rescued 71 Ghanaian fishermen who were left stranded at sea following a robbery attack approximately 35 nautical miles off the coast of Gomoa Nyanyano and Senya Bereku in the Central Region. According to a statement signed by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director General of Public Relations for the Ghana Navy, the search and rescue operation began at dawn after reports emerged that armed robbers had attacked several fishing boats operating in the area. Helicopter Crash Ghana : Ghana Air Force helicopter crashes near Obuasi; 4 burnt beyond recognition

A Ghana Air Force Z9 helicopter carrying eight people has crashed and burst into flames shortly after takeoff from Accra this morning. Graphic Online has obtained a video footage showing the wreckage engulfed in fire with charred bodies visible at the scene. At least four bodies are burnt beyond recognition.
