GFA hunts for new Black Queens coach after Hauptle’s departure to Zambia

Swiss tactician Nora Hauptle has left her position as Ghana's Black Queens head coach to join the Copper Queens of Zambia. This comes after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) failed to renew Nora Hauptle's contract after it expired on December 31, 2024. The Football Association of Zambia has officially signed Hauptle to a two-year contract following the dismissal of Bruce Mwape. The GFA has already begun a search for a new coach ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in July. Hauptle had a remarkable stint with the Black Queens since her appointment in 2023, where she qualified the team for this year's WAFCON. She narrowly missed the Women’s 2024 Olympic Games after being beaten by Zambia in the last round qualifying match.
