President John Dramani Mahama has departed Accra today, Sunday, 11th January 2026, en route to the United Kingdom, where he is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with coordinators of the Accra Reset Initiative.
After the UK engagements, the President will continue to Davos, Switzerland, to participate in a session of the World Economic Forum (WEF), one of the world’s leading platforms for dialogue on global economic development, governance, and international cooperation.
While in Davos, President Mahama is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders and key stakeholders on the sidelines of the Forum. These engagements are anticipated to focus on strengthening international partnerships, attracting investment, and advancing Ghana’s development priorities.

The trip forms part of the President’s broader diplomatic and economic outreach aimed at repositioning Ghana on the global stage and advancing initiatives aligned with national renewal and economic transformation.
This was confirmed in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament and Spokesperson to the President, who also serves as Minister for Government Communications.
