The National Executive Council of the Pope John Old Boys Association (POJOBA) has announced a Requiem Mass in honour of the late Daasebre Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, former Minister for Defence, whose sudden passing has left the POJOBA and POJOSS fraternity in deep sorrow.
The solemn service will be held on Wednesday, 13th August 2025, at 6:00 pm concurrently at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra and Pope John Senior High School (POJOSS) in Koforidua. Attendees are encouraged to wear black or any POJOBA/POJOSS-branded attire.
According to the programme, the evening will begin with a candlelight procession at 6:00 pm, followed by tributes and Mass at 6:30 pm. The association noted that similar ceremonies may also be organised by other POJOBA chapters across the country.

The late Dr. Omane Boamah, a distinguished alumnus of POJOSS, is remembered not only for his public service but also for his dedication to the school’s alumni community.
POJOBA National President, Isaac Aboagye Duah, urged members, friends, and well-wishers to attend the event as a show of unity, prayer, and respect for the life and legacy of their departed brother.
