
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Monday, June 23, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to President John Dramani Mahama at his private residence in Accra.

The visit formed part of the Asantehene’s engagements following his attendance as the guest of honour at the graduation ceremony of his son on Saturday, June 21. Otumfuo was accompanied by a delegation of revered traditional leaders, the Nananom, underscoring the cultural significance and respect associated with the visit.
During the meeting, Otumfuo extended a warm gesture of goodwill and expressed his appreciation to the president for his continuous service and commitment to national unity. The visit also served as a farewell call as the Asantehene concluded his activities in the capital.

In a brief interaction, President John Mahama warmly received Otumfuo and commended him for his longstanding dedication to peace, development, and the preservation of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.
The meeting between the two respected national figures highlighted the enduring bonds between traditional authority and political leadership, reinforcing the shared vision of progress and national cohesion.
