The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally referred petitions against its Deputy Director of Communications, Mr. Ernest Owusu Bempah, to the Party’s National Council for consideration.
In a statement signed by the General Secretary, Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong, the Party expressed grave concern over the conduct of Mr. Owusu Bempah, noting that it had received formal petitions from some members calling for his removal from office.
The statement explained that since Mr. Owusu Bempah’s appointment was made upon the recommendation of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and subsequently approved by the National Council, the appropriate body to deliberate on the matter is the National Council.

“The Party reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding discipline, safeguarding its values, and ensuring that all matters are handled with fairness and transparency,” the statement emphasized.
The decision underscores the NPP’s resolve to ensure accountability and due process within its ranks as it addresses concerns raised by party members.
