The US-Ghana Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Embassy of Ghana in the United States has announced a major diaspora engagement event featuring John Dramani Mahama.
Dubbed the Diaspora Community Dialogue, the event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Temple Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia. Doors will open at 5:30 PM.
The dialogue is expected to bring together members of the Ghanaian diaspora, government officials, and key stakeholders for an evening of engagement, culture, and national reflection. It will provide a platform for Ghanaians living abroad to interact directly with the President and senior government officials on issues of national development and diaspora participation.

The programme will feature a rich display of Ghanaian culture, including traditional music and artistic performances, as well as a cultural exhibition celebrating Ghana’s heritage. A major highlight of the evening will be a special performance by internationally acclaimed comedian Michael Blackson.
Organisers say the event is designed not only to strengthen ties between Ghana and its diaspora community but also to create meaningful opportunities for collaboration and national growth. Attendees will have the chance to engage in open dialogue with leadership, share perspectives, and explore ways to contribute to Ghana’s development agenda.
Participants are encouraged to attend in cultural attire, with options including traditional fugu or the national Ghana national football team jersey.
Registration for the event is currently open online, with organisers urging early sign-ups due to anticipated high turnout.
The Diaspora Community Dialogue underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to fostering stronger connections with Ghanaians abroad and leveraging their contributions toward national progress.
