EPA trains stakeholders on handling, safe disposal of stranded cetaceans

The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has taken significant steps to enhance the conservation of marine life, particularly cetaceans (whales and dolphins), through a collaborative approach with key stakeholders. A training programme has, therefore, been organised by the Authority for reps of various institutions to effectively address the issue of stranded or beached cetaceans and improve environmental awareness and response. Encroachers threaten security of nuclear installation and public safety, GAEC Warns

The Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) has raised the alarm over increasing encroachment on its lands, warning that the activity poses a serious threat to the security of its installations and public safety. Alhaji Seidu Agongo, Businessman and philanthropist has paid the medical bills of 25 patients in the Out-Patient Department (OPD) of the Child Emergency Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra. A judge of the Court of Appeal has called court users in Ghana to embrace Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms as a tool for resolution of disputes to ensure expeditious determination of cases brought before the courts.
