Beeztrap KOTM Postpones Debut Album ‘Power’ to Honor the Legacy of Highlife Legend Daddy Lumba

Rising Ghanaian music star Beeztrap KOTM has announced the postponement of his debut album, “Power,” in a respectful tribute to the late Highlife icon, Daddy Lumba.

Originally scheduled for release this week, the album will now be available on August 8, 2025, across all streaming platforms.

The announcement follows the passing of Daddy Lumba, one of Ghana’s most celebrated and influential musicians. In a heartfelt statement, Beeztrap expressed his condolences and acknowledged the impact of the legendary artist on Ghanaian music and culture.

“I want to express my deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Daddy Lumba, whose monumental contributions to Ghanaian music have left an indelible mark on the industry,” Beeztrap said. “Out of respect for the legend’s legacy and to allow the nation time to mourn, I have decided to shift the album’s release date.”

The decision, while difficult, reflects Beeztrap’s deep respect for his musical predecessors and his understanding of the cultural weight Daddy Lumba carried within the industry.

According to the young artist, this brief delay will allow fans to celebrate Daddy Lumba’s life and legacy, while preparing for what promises to be a defining moment in Beeztrap’s career.

Power, which is already generating buzz in the local and international music scenes, is expected to showcase Beeztrap KOTM’s unique sound—a fusion of Afro-drill, trap, and Ghanaian urban rhythms.

“This delay ensures that Power arrives at the right moment, allowing Ghana to honor a legend while preparing the world for the next chapter of my reign,” he added.

Fans can now look forward to the release of Power on August 8, 2025, a project Beeztrap promises will “not only meet but exceed the expectations” of his rapidly growing audience.
