The Circuit Court Two in Cape Coast has sentenced Samuel Armah, also known as Kofi Nyan, to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour after he was found guilty of defilement.
The case, which stemmed from an incident that occurred on October 16, 2025, was heard on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, before Her Honour Nana Aba Quiba Nunoo.
According to police sources, the accused person, Samuel Armah, pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement when he appeared before the court. Upon his own plea, he was convicted and sentenced accordingly.

Following the sentencing, Armah was transferred to the Ankaful Prison, where he has begun serving his 10-year sentence.
The Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing justice for victims of sexual and gender-based violence, warning that such offenses will be dealt with swiftly and severely under the law.
ASP Bentum, Acting Public Relations Officer for the Central Region Police, confirmed the conviction and encouraged the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies to ensure that perpetrators of such crimes are brought to justice.
