The Ghana Football Association has reached an agreement with fin-tech brand, Zeepay as an official Fintech partner in a one year deal worth Five Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc500,000.00). The announcement was made on at their Headquarters in Accra on Friday, September 16, 2022. Present at the ceremony was President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku. Asante Kotoko announces sponsorship deal with Zeepay

Ghana Premier league side Kumasi Asante Kotoko have announced a partnership deal with Ghanaian-owned Fintech and mobile money company, Zeepay Ghana Limited. The club announced the deal which is worth Ghc1 million on Friday morning after both parties had reached a successful agreement. The deal is for one year with an option to renew. BoG issues first ‘Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer’ licence to Zeepay

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has issued its first Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer licence, to a local Financial Technology (Fintech) company, Zeepay Ghana Ltd. In a statement Thursday, the Bank of Ghana said the move is part of efforts to deepen financial inclusion in the country. According to the BoG, the licence authorizes Zeepay Ghana Ltd, to operate as a Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer, providing the following services: Cash In, Cash Out, P2P Transfers (Peer to Peer), Bill Payments, Airtime Top-Up and International Money Transfer (IMT). The Bank of Ghana has, therefore, reiterated its commitment to providing an enabling environment for Fintechs, industry players and other stakeholders, to operate in the payment services space in Ghana.
