UCC alumni organises free health screening, donates GHC5,000 to orphanage home
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) old students, led by the biological and physical science alumni, has organised a free health screening and donated GHC5,000 to Center for Hope Charity aid.
As part of the alumni’s humanitarian effort, it donated fifteen bags of 25kg rice, 2 cartons of vegetable oil, 2 cartons of sardines, tissues, milk and milo.
The free health screening included checking of blood pressure, glucose, and breast cancer among others.
The event held at the premises of Center for hope charity aid, in Accra, was in partnership with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
About 40 aged women and 20 aged men actively participated in the health screening exercise.
