Police Arrest Suspect, Recover Pump-Action Guns After Violent Clash at Simpa
The Western Central Regional Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one suspect and the recovery of weapons following a violent clash between two rival groups at Simpa in the Nsuaem District.
The incident occurred on 28th September 2025, near the Simpa Sawmill, when rival factions allegedly engaged in a gun battle. Police identified the arrested suspect as Daniel Cudjoe, alias Ato Asare, 25, who is believed to have led one of the groups involved in the confrontation.
According to police reports, Cudjoe, together with his younger brother, Emmanuel Cudjoe, 23 (now deceased), and about ten others, confronted a rival group from Dadwen led by suspects Alhassan and one Abolo, both of whom are currently on the run.
