The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kumasi Premier International, has organised a free breast and prostate cancer screening exercise for traders at the Asafo Market in Kumasi. The outreach programme, which formed part of the global Pink Month campaign, was held under the theme “Early Detection Saves Lives”. The outreach programme was aimed at encouraging early diagnosis and raising awareness about the dangers of breast and prostate cancer. KMA Orders Evacuation Ahead of Santasi-Ahodwo Dual Road Construction

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has directed all car dealers, mechanic shops, taxi operators, squatters, temporary structure owners, and traders operating along the Santasi–Ahodwo stretch to vacate the area by October 30, 2025. The directive comes as part of preparations for the construction of a dual carriage road from Santasi to the Ahodwo Roundabout, linking the Asokwa Interchange. The project is being funded through a grant secured by the Government of Ghana from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
