Police Investigate Attack on Officers at Jacobu
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into an incident in which officers from the Jacobu District Patrol Team were attacked by a group of civilians while carrying out routine patrol duties at Bepotenten Sukuum.
The incident occurred on 23rd January 2026, when police officers on patrol recovered a pump-action gun from a 15-year-old boy. According to the Police, the officers instructed the boy to inform the owner of the firearm to report to the police station with the necessary and valid documents for verification.
