Seven Arrested for Armed Robbery at Ashaiman

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested seven suspects, including two juveniles, in connection with a violent robbery incident that occurred at Ashaiman Sakaska Park and Dagomba Junction in the Greater Accra Region.

According to police reports, the suspects, a group of young men, attacked several victims at night using a weapon. They made away with multiple personal items including an iPhone 12 Pro Max, a Samsung A03 Core, an Infinix Hot 40i, a power bank, and a backpack containing a Dell laptop and its charger, along with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Following swift response by officers and assistance from members of the public, the Police were able to arrest two of the suspects on the scene. The arrested individuals were identified as Moses Kwame Helu and Jonathan Osabutey.

Further investigations and intelligence-led operations led to the arrest of two more suspects—Robert Amekudzi and a juvenile whose name has been withheld. They were found in possession of the robbed backpack and Dell laptop with its charger.

Subsequently, two additional suspects—Bernard Dzumador and another juvenile—were arrested with the stolen iPhone 12 Pro Max and Samsung A03 Core, further confirming their involvement in the crime.

All seven suspects are currently in police custody and are assisting with ongoing investigations. The Police have assured the public that the suspects will be arraigned before court in due course.

The Tema Regional Police Command has commended the public for their cooperation and continues to urge residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities.
