The National Service Authority (NSA) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the prompt payment of allowances to National Service Personnel across the country, assuring stakeholders that steps are being taken to clear outstanding arrears.
In a statement issued by Management, the Authority emphasised that service allowances are essential to supporting personnel during their mandatory service year and stressed that every eligible individual deserves timely payment of their stipends.
According to the NSA, funds covering two months of allowances were advanced last week by the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department for disbursement. However, the Authority clarified that the delay in payments is linked to an ongoing verification exercise being conducted by the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS).

Management explained that the verification process is necessary to ensure accuracy, prevent irregularities, and maintain financial integrity before final payments are processed.
The NSA acknowledged the patience and resilience demonstrated by National Service Personnel during the delay, expressing appreciation for their continued contribution to national development.
The Authority further assured personnel that all verified and legitimate arrears are expected to be cleared by the end of the week, adding that regular updates will be communicated through official channels to keep stakeholders fully informed.
